One of the causes of smog in Poland is usage of heating furnaces that generate a large number of pollutants. Despite changes in the law to prevent the sale of boilers whose emission of harmful substances exceeds standards, such devices can still be bought on the Internet.
The fight against the sale of outdated and harmful to the environment furnaces can be facilitated by technologies that make it possible to search and identify such offers.
We created a bot that downloaded data from the auction service. We analyzed the downloaded data and prepared statistics on offers. We prepared the assumptions of a system automatically analyzing data from subsequent auction services using Natural Language Processing and image recognition algorithms.
Thanks to the use of the bot, data is downloaded in a flash and transformed into a form in which it can be analysed by non-programmers.
